Guitar, saxophone, bass and drums. Disregarding the musical scale of instruments as much as possible, the band creates songs that consist of noise and muted sounds that are produced when sound is emitted. The trance and fatigue brought about from relentless repetition and the melody-like sounds that comprise harmonics outside the twelve-tone are both urban and tribal at the same time.

Hinter S.U.V. – dem Kürzel für Sex Und Violence – steckt Franz Joseph Kaputt aus Nürnberg. Neben Tapes auf SPAM, Verydeeprecords, oder dem von ihm initiierten Otomatik Muziek veröffentlicht er auch mit dem Duo DRNTTCKS auf Labels wie Beach Buddies, Industrial Coast oder Feathered Coyote und bildet gemeinsam mit Philipp Hager von ZEMENT das Modal-Folk-Duo Hager/Kaputt.
Die Testcard hat seine Musik mal als „Autoren-Noise“ bezeichnet, so richtig musikalisch festlegen lässt er sich aber nicht. Nach Alben voll verhuschtem Grusel-Folk, Power Electronics oder weirden Synth-Kaskaden verbindet er aktuell krumm gezählte Techno-Beats mit psychoakustischen Synthesizerschleifen, und düstere Noise-Fetzen mit Free Jazz-Anleihen - und arbeitet sich dabei inhaltlich an den namensgebenden Themen Sex und Gewalt, Konstruktionen von Identität und dem Leben im Anthropozän ab.
